Hemp-Extract is referencing the oil that is derived from the industrial hemp plant that is then used as a base ingredient in tinctures, capsules, creams, and all the other products you love: The oil contains a broad spectrum of phytocannabinoids, but depending on the cultivar of cannabis you will find a completely different genetic make-up differing plant to plant.
CBD, along with CBG, THC, CBN, CBT, THCV, etc. are all cannabinoids found in the Cannabis plant. THC, THCA, THCV, etc. produce an intoxicating effect, but the others do not.
CBD And THC Are The Most Commonly Discussed Cannabinoids, But What About CBG? How Does It Work With CBD?
Amazingly, THC and CBD start out as CBG! The Cannabis plant produces cannabigerolic acid (CBGA). This is the precursor to the three main cannabinoid lines: THCA, CBDA, CBCA.
The acids are exposed to infrared light or heat (vaporization, or decarboxylation) and then become the cannabinoids THC and CBD.
In most cultivar, the CBGA is immediately converted to either THCA or CBDA. Consequently, more THC means less CBG and CBD, and vice versa by the nature of how these compounds are extracted. More Heat means a less broad phytocannabinoid spectrum.
CBG Works To Fight Inflammation, Pain, And Nausea – Works To Slow The Spread Of Cancer Cells.
A recent 2017 study suggests that a form of CBG that was isolated to replace delta-9 THC was a very successful appetite stimulant in rats. This could provide a new non-intoxicating therapeutic option for cachexia, the muscle wasting and severe weight loss that occurs in the late stages of cancer and other terminal diseases.
In a different study that looked at the effects of five different cannabinoids on bladder contractions, CBG tested above the rest at reducing muscle contractions. Studies have shown that it can also significantly reduce intraocular eye pressure caused by glaucoma. Strains high in CBG will be beneficial treating conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, and cancer. CBD can work by itself, but it is an interactive drug by nature.
CBD works better when its sourced from a cultivar with High levels of CBD but low levels of THC, but alternatively if it is isolated and then used in conjunction with THC. Not all CBD comes from THC –rich cannabis, and not companies reintroduce THC to their oil products.
At Chemdawg’s we utilize CBG and infuse into our Blend because of its anatomical similarities to THC. Cannabigerol also is an agonist for the alpha-2-adrenoceptor, which helps suppress another neurotransmitter called norepinephrine. This may give Cannabigerol muscle relaxation and analgesic properties through effects in the central nervous system. This is why our products out-beat other industrial hemp-derived products on the market. CBG works as the interactive compound to CBD in ZERO THC products.
Through years of trial, we feel that CBG is Hemp’s answer to THC and a great front line analgesic for users who are not comfortable with ingesting THC.
At Chemdawg’s we have all of our product batches tested through a 3 party analytical testing company. Each report shows a 10:1 ratio of CBG and CBD/ mg. Relax your dog is chillin’ safe without any buzz or harmful side effects!
