Chemdawg’s premium hemp infused products include one or more hemp by byproduct: hemp seed oil, hemp meal, and/or hemp oil (CBD isolate). We’ve created this blog post to make sure that you feel well informed about these highlighted ingredients in our products.
What is Hemp?
Hemp is from the same family as Cannabis, but should not be confused with medicinal or recreational ‘marijuana’. They contain similar molecular compounds, but at drastically different ratios. Hemp contains high levels of CBD and <.3% or less THC, while ‘marijuana’ contains high levels of THC, and a lower amount of CBD.
What is Hemp Seed Oil?
Hemp seed oil is the oil within hemp seeds, which is extracted via a ‘cold press’ technique. This oil contains zero cannabinoids but is rich in vitamins A, B, D, E and essential fatty acids omega 3 & 6.
What is Hemp Meal ?
Nutrient-packed hemp stalks and seeds are ground up into a fiber-like powder.
What is CBD?
CBD is a molecule found in high quantities in industrial hemp. This molecule is highly revered for its countless wellness properties. CBD is 100% non-intoxicating (doesn’t produce a “high” effect.) CBD’s psychoactive properties contribute to mental wellness.
Chemdawg’s utilizes a CBD isolate sourced from organic biomass grown by a trusted family farm in Colorado. Ethanol, an FDA approved ‘non-harmful solvent’ is used in the extraction of our oil.
Are These Ingredients Legal?
Yes. Hemp Seed Oil, Hemp Meal and CBD is 100% federally legal in the United States as a dietary or nutritional supplement. Our products are effective for young, middle aged, or senior pets at any weight. Please be sure to review our recommended daily dosing on the label.
